the white corset

Hi, it’s been a while since my last blog post as I lacked things to write about as well as travelling a lot and being overloaded with work. This did not leave a lot of time to sit down and write.

On the weekend I went out with my boyfriend to photograph various outfits I had put together and with the weather being finally good here in London the pictures came out very well. I am not planning to show you guys all of the outfits at once as my overall blog post would not have one main theme.

My favourite outfit we shot was one where I wore a white corset I bought off the insta famous online shop named I AM GIA. I have been drooling over their pieces for months and acquired quite a few of their pieces lately such as the uma pants and the pixi jacket (outfits to come) but this was by far one of my favourites.

I fell in love with this corset due to its rigid shape and the puffy sleeves which made it very feminine. It had I AM GIA written down the sides of your neck and white lace at the bottom. It could virtually go with anything and was good for evening and day events.

There was also another reason I was willing to invest in this piece as I have been studying the burlesque in my art A level and I am hoping to go study fashion contour at university. Therefore, as the name of my blog suggests I am drawn to rigid and shaping garments such as corsets and when I saw these ones were trending worldwide I could not help myself.

I paired the corset with black jeans and heeled sandals and added some red oval glasses to add colour to the monochromatic outfit. I then added my Gucci bag because the colours pulled the whole thing together.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post and I’ll definitely be posting more this year!
